Description

Saint Spyridon

Saint Spyridon, one of the most beloved saints of Cyprus, was born in Assia and lived a humble life as a shepherd. Known for his deep faith and simplicity, he became a symbol of devotion and divine grace.

He participated in the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., where he defended the Orthodox faith against heresy, leaving a lasting mark on Christian theology.

He later served as Bishop of Trimythous, guiding his people with wisdom and compassion. Saint Spyridon is renowned for his miracles, both during his life and after his repose, remaining a living presence in the hearts of the faithful.

His memory is honored on December 12.
