Saint Fanourios
Saint Fanourios is a beloved saint in the Orthodox tradition, especially known for helping the faithful find lost items and reveal hidden things.
His name comes from the Greek word “φανερώνω” (to reveal), reflecting his role as a helper in times of confusion, loss, or difficulty.
He is often depicted as a young soldier holding a cross with a candle, symbolizing faith, light, and divine guidance.
The faithful turn to Saint Fanourios with prayer, asking for help and clarity, and in return offer the traditional “Fanouropita” as a sign of gratitude.
His feast day is celebrated on August 27.
